It is a blustery day in the hundred acre wood. It is also a bit cool outside. I think mother nature is having hormonal issues because it gets hot out, then it clouds over, then it rains, then it stops and then the wind begins to blow… I mean really, mother nature, make up your mind.
I boycotted television today. I slept all the way through the song and dance in Los Angeles. He’s dead, bury him, and let’s get on with what is important. I got up and started my day around 3. I had to meet Keiko at the church so we could set up, which went very well. She is one of our newest members and she chaired the meeting as well. Her topic was Humility…
I thought better to keep my mouth shut and not say a word… Humility is something you learn over time. It comes like grace. Very quietly and sometimes with great lessons attached to it. My nemesis did not show up for the meeting, so there was no need to speak my mind on the topic. But I had an hour to ponder the word humility and listen to others share about the topic.
I am reading “Survival in Auschwitz” by Primo Levy and if you need to be reminded about gratitude and humility, read something about the Holocaust.
It is better sometimes to be a quiet force rather than a big wind…
I got to talk to my sponsor after the meeting on the way home, so it’s all good. Tomorrow afternoon I see my doc. Fun, fun …
Time for dinner.
More to come, stay tuned …
